Haul | Priceline 40% off cosmetics sale

It was 40% off all cosmetics at my second home Priceline for the past two days. So, naturally, there has been absolute chaos at Priceline. I think everyone and their mothers raided the place faster then a zombie feasting on the human population.

While I didn't really feel the need to stock up on anything, I did pick up a couple of things that I've been wanting to try out. At 40% off, I had to!

I've seen other people's hauls and mine looks tame in comparison. Haha! I actually do have self control!

I had four essays due this fortnight, so I basically fell off the face of the planet. To help me keep my sanity, I stuck by these things!

Funny how a few little things can get you into attack essay mode!

I'm an early bird and normally when I wake up at 5am in the morning, I do stupid things like buy a whole heap of candles online (which ignited my candle obsession, but another story, another post, eh?). 

Anyway, this morning, I painted my nails by the glow of my tablet, and when I decided it was time to go make myself a cup of tea, I realised the awesomeness of the polish when I emerged from the darkness of my room and my hand was basked in the glorious sunlight. (Sydneysiders, is this the first not rainy, albeit still freezing, day we've had all week? I feel like a vampire after not having seen the sun for so long.)

I introduce to you a brand from Brazil called Hits and this is a swatch of Artsy from their Mari Moon collection.

Now in the bottle, it already looks pretty groovy but wait until you see the magic happen on the nails!

Now, I have never been the type to wear red lipstick, even though I have an abundance of them. I used to think that red lips were just... too sexy for me. But damn it, something just feels so right when I put on my black floppy hat and wear it with red lipstick. 

Maybe it's the Taylor Swift fan girl in me, who knows. (Yes, might as well confess, guys, I love her. And thanks to the internet, I now sing and bleat like a goat to I Knew You Were Trouble.)

I have been loving wearing these three red lipsticks in the past couple of weeks. (Well, okay, the Revlon isn't technically a lipstick...)

Bad Beauty Beginnings | MAC Sea & Sky mineralize eye shadow + a swatch!

Thought it would be funny to look back on my hilarious and horrible histories with make up. So here is series! Reminisce with me as I'm sure we've all been there. (Or I could be the only noob who did these mistakes...)

In the three years that I've worn make up, it was only in the last two of them that I realised, yes, there really is a time and place for certain colours.

One of my mistakes when I was younger and naive when it came to make up involved MAC Sea & Sky mineralize eyeshadow.

When I saw it at my neareast MAC counter, I was mesmerized by its' marbled goodness and thought, hellz yeah, I need this in my life. I totally didn't have a blue eyeshadow, so it was a must.

You can only imagine my glee when I brought it home. I was so excited that I wore it the next day when I went to work. Back then, I worked at a very traditional menswear retail store.
