Five Favourites | February

Rather than typing out a whole block of text about all my favourites for the month, I narrowed it down to five so that you're not here all day reading.

So what have I been absolutely loving this month?

Worth The Hype? | NARS - NARSissist eyeshadow palette

NARS' Narsissist eyeshadow palette was in stock on Mecca's website on Sunday and at the time of writing this, I can't seem to find it anymore. I guess everyone went zombie horde attack on live human on this... Having finished university, I thought, why not and splurged on this for myself. I went to my nearest Mecca store yesterday during my lunchbreak and the sales assistant told me that they only had three left by then. (Lucky me!)

It's popular and for good reason – it's fifteen of their neutral-ish eyeshadows (plus a limited edition one) and the quality is awesome. Despite the hefty price tag ($115, thank god for Myer One gift vouchers), I really think it's worth it.

Aussie Indies | Mckfresh - Oz from the Sunnydale Collection

Mckfresh Nail Attire, an Australian indie polish brand, released a Buffy inspired collection a while ago, called the Sunnydale Collection. The one I'm showing you today is called Oz, an awesome dark shimmery bronze base with an equally awesome in your face scattered holo. (Awesome.)

Lush R&B Hair Moisturiser

I bought the R&B hair moisturiser from Lush a while ago. My bottle of Moroccan Oil was down to the last drops so I thought why not. It's been three years since I had a hair cut so my ends are really dry - yes, yes, I should get a trim but I keep procrastinating on it.

The Lush R&B hair moisturiser is suitable for dry or curly hair types. It's made of fresh ingredients, like organic avocado butter and olive oil. You run it through your damp hair (and scrunch your hair, too, if you want) and leave it in to dry. It's meant to tame frizzy hair and make it silky smooth. After reading so many great reviews and trying it out, I swear there is something wrong with me.

OPI Mariah Carey, Spring 2013 - The Impossible

I purchased a mini four pack of the Mariah Carey collection for OPI on a whim. I thought it was a good way to introduce myself to texture polishes. I was hesitant to dip my toes into liquid sands (as OPI calls textured polishes), because any nail polish addict knows what happened after the whirlwind that was shatters, right?

From the four, I put on The Impossible, which has a red jelly base and pink hex glitters. There were also some stars, but I didn't get any on of them on my nails. I didn't make an effort to fish them out, though.
